SEBASTIAN MURDOCH
The Black Hand
The Black Hand
Age: 29
Religion and Language: Sebastian has long forsaken any religion but speaks both Sianehese and Dheynorian fluently.
Race:Shapeshifter (large, black bear)
Magic: None
Alignment: Queen Mordrena/himself
Profession: The Black Hand
Appearance: Sebastian has shoulder length, black hair that is thin and stringy. His face is gaunt and ice-blue eyes are sunken back deep into the sockets. The points of his cheekbones jut out and are sharp. A light layer of stubble covers his jawline, enough to give a dark shading but not long enough to be more than a shadow. His skin is a sickly white; swallow in color as though persistently ill. He is average in height and weight, coming to 5’11” and weighing in at 170 lbs. Sebastian, true to his title, wears an all-black tunic with matching leather pants and boots. His hands are gloved in black material.
In his shapeshifter form Sebastian is a large and lean, black bear with sharp claws. His teeth are razor-sharp and he is quite swift and strong. Resilient on the offense because of his size as a bear Sebastian is poor on defense and makes a good target if not on the run.
Personality: No word one can sum up Sebastian’s cracked demeanor. He is a determined man willing to sacrifice every fiber of his being for Queen Mordrena and towards the genocide of the Rajegh. There is no extent to his passion and he will wear himself down entirely for his goal and destroy any one who crosses his path. He is ruthless and will use cruel means to achieve his desires. He has patience for those who do not burden him but snaps easily. Despite his controlling and demanding ways Sebastian is not power-hungry, he cares little for it, and only seeks revenge. He is blinded by confused rage and is in denial of the horrendous crimes he has committed against innocents; because he refuses to believe himself to be the bad guy he points blame at others, especially the Rajegh. Highly competitive, Sebastian will rarely pass up a duel. He is a big, fate hypocrite and cries of how violent and merciless the Rajegh are when he himself is just as bad, if not worse.
Likes: Water, storms, his queen, reading/poetry, aurora borealis, and gardens.
Dislikes: Fire, the Rajegh, dark spaces, loud voices/sounds, and spicy foods (he is allergic to cinnamon).
Habits: Talking aloud to himself (often forgetting where he is), and mouthing words silently
Desires: To exterminate the Rajegh through any means possible.
Hobbies: Plant life has always fascinated Sebastian and he tends to a small garden.
Fears: Fire and death
History: Born to Edmond and Ellowyn, Sebastian was raised in a poor farming village with his older sister Annabelle. The family produced mainly wheat which they supplied to the local bakery, in return there were given free loaves. Life was plain and simple; the villagers were often hard at work to manage a living but every summer/winter solstice brought upon a great festival. Sebastian always enjoyed the one held in the winter months when hot cider was given to the children who would build great fortresses of snow. There were also various games and activities for those of all ages. But during the winter when darkness fell brilliant lights would gleam within the sky; soft greens, purple, and blue ribbons.
When Sebastian was twelve years of age he was out fetching some tools left for the blacksmith’s repair when a chorus of shouts echoed out from the street. The blacksmith instructed for the boy to wait as he went to check the chaos. Sebastian scuttled beneath a large table in the workshop and cringed as the whole earth shook beneath him. Frightened he bolted up and out through the backdoor to three large dragons preying upon his village. The beasts (rogue Rajegh) did not scoop the townsfolk up in their large mouths but rather breathed fire upon the houses. It was a sudden and senseless attack that destroyed the unsuspecting village. Only a handful survived, including Sebastian. By the time he had made it to his home the boy could hear the dying screams of his sister; his parents had already perished.
A few days later wayward travelers happened upon the defenseless survivors and captured them to make a profit through trade; they would sell Sebastian and the others as slaves. Sebastian was fortunate enough to be given to a wealthy lord who ran a large farm that supplied the royal castle with vegetables and meats. He spent a good chunk of life weeding, harvesting, plowing, and butchering the chickens for various feasts; most of the time he was silent and was mistaken as a mute. In truth Sebastian was plotting; he longed to escape and seek revenge against the Rajegh. He had heard many tales of the race’s violent and savage ways and thirsted for more than just the three heads of the murderers. Many would also find him strange for caring little of women. He simply has others concerns on his mind.
When the king passed and Queen Mordrena had come to rule soldiers came to the farm looking for recruits. Sebastian was selected and moved to the castle to be trained for battle. Here the man had found a place in which he could express himself and Sebastian quickly made his way to the top. The other soldiers avoided him and found him to be slightly insane or off his rocker; others thought him a ruthless bastard. But there was one who understood him. Sebastian had been granted the position of body guard to the queen herself, and over time had been dubbed ‘The Black Hand’. Grateful for the freedom of his position and the chances now within his palm, Sebastian is immensely loyal to the queen. He believes that once he wipes out the Rajegh race he will claim the lands for Queen Mordrena.
