This is the basic plot for the World of Dheynor. As you further explore the board you will find information about the Dynasties and important canons you can claim.
A thousand years have passed since the Age of War began, when everyone crowned themselves Kings and Queens and marched upon their enemies for land, for glory or, just because someone had called them fat. But the war’s are all but over and a steady peace has been maintained for 300 years. But whispers of old times, of the times of the Empire, of the many Kings of Sioure and of the days when man lusted for glory on the battlefield threaten tip this delicate peace into another spout of War.
There are those in Illiria who love the Senate, who would die defending its ways. But then there are those like that would sooner see it destroyed. That would rather the people bowed down to them, rather than seeing themselves as equals. There is a rumour that a secret faction has been formed whose purpose is to locate the descendants of Lyanna of Dheynor, the daughter of Alana and Aranion, the last rulers of the Empire.
The West are one of the few nations that still fight among themselves, the two clans in the west have never gotten along. But the clan leaders are listening out for the tell tale signs of a greater war. Their people are thirsty for blood and it is a thirst that only a true war can quench. The real question for them is that if a real war did occur could they pull together and become the one fearsome nation they were.
Sixteen Kingdoms fell one by one and now sit united beneath a single, fat and lazy King in the south. Whisper have reached his ears of a lust for the Empire to be raised once more and it has set him quivering with fear. He has allowed his country to grow weak and if the empire did rise, the south would fall with great ease. So he has raised his taxes and set to retraining and rebuilding his army, raising his blood pressure. In the shadows of his own court there are those that want him to fail, so that they can reclaim the land of their ancestors. Perhaps pushing the fat man to his limits might cause that heart attack that they world has been waiting for.
Chreina is too busy fighting amongst itself to notice anything south of the Baraf Mountains. There is desperation in Chreina for a leader to be raised, but all those that have stepped forward have been struck down by an opposing district. Is it possible for them to find a neutral to unite them and lead them to their former glory?
Enden has its own problems to deal with to worry about the rumours in Illiria. The Pirates have united under a single banner and rumour has it they have allied themselves with a new faction and started terrorising the merchant ilses. In response Enden is building the largest fleet that has ever sailed the Anean Sea an action that will cause yet more ripples when the news reaches the mainland.
War is coming, it is inevitable, but where will it start? Who will be the first to fall? Will those divided finally unite or will their differences forever keep them apart?
The answer lies within you.
